Smoke & Mirrors 48 hr film competition entry (We came runner up)

We received the brief ('Lost') Friday night at 7pm, brainstormed and then the next day we shot it... On Sunday it was edited, all ready for 7pm deadline!

Space (really) - Atlanta USA November 2011

We did a zero gravity test shoot for a '4 music' promo... I built some props, sourced some bits and bobs and then puked up whilst I attempted to dress them into shot, meanwhile a spacemen did spaceman stuff. crazy experience!!

We designed 3 bar tents for Glastonbury this year, it was an exciting ride.... Thanks to everyone that helped out!

Glasto 2011 - Park bar

We designed something for the park area that encapsulated its energy. Based on some south American reference we dressed and themed the bar itself making posters, distressing props to create a believable and authentic place to hang out and have fun... we built a rooftop scene above the bar which housed full size and perspectively smaller buildings, lots of details were included.... It went down a storm!

We tried to keep this area clean and simple in it's execution. We designed stickers for the tables...
West holts feels global so we imagined that Every band was a destination, all the acts that played over the weekend in the west holts area were featured.

We also used twigs to create animal horns on plaques for behind the bar.

The Glade bar is in an area near the G stage which has an electronic dance emphasis, we looked at 90's style rave posters which inspired this design.

I worked on a job for C4 re-making the famous scene in Mission impossible where Cruise hangs horizontally from the ceiling... In this case it was Heston Blumenthal! We built the whole set in a studio and that was that.

I'm very excited about the project I've just finished, I was the production designer for the new I player ads which are out in October!

Some more pics:

I made this ball of spheres which floated. It had a counter-balanced long rod which extended out of shot from the rear. Also here... Just putting the finishing touches to the pods which also floated. These were spray finished Vac formed shapes which emitted light. Finally the cube... suspended from above, the cube split into sections and moved apart in mid air.

In the Cafe

On set with Designer Simon Davis. We built this cafe in a studio over 2 days... It was quite a full on shoot because the lead character played all the other people in the cafe... This meant lots of green-screen/ split screens/ matching frames/ stand-ins and hard work by everyone all round.
